Chargebacks911® COO Suggests Taking Time Away From the Computer
21 global business leaders, including Chargebacks911 COO Monica Eaton-Cardone, offered their experience and expertise in a new feature about remote work for GOBankingRates.
When GOBankingRates launched in 2004, their goal was to make finding competitive interest rates easier for the average consumer. Today, they offer this and much more, giving consumers and businesses the insights and expertise they need to make the most of their resources.
Given the current COVID-19 crisis, millions of workers are finding themselves working remotely for the first time. Many are struggling to adjust. In response, a recent feature on the site asked business experts from around the globe to offer their best tip for remote workers. For her part, Monica says that taking time away from your screen may be the best way to ensure productivity in the long-term.
“I suggest stepping fully away from your computer instead of taking a break at your desk or workspace,” Monica says. “Rather than checking social media or browsing the internet, it’s important that you give yourself a rest from being in ‘work’ mode.”
Many workers can be hesitant to take time to deliberately stop working. However, even a short break can help you recharge and prevent burnout, which will ultimately improve your productivity.
“I enjoy going for a short walk, but for you it might be doing yoga for 10 minutes or throwing a ball for your dog in the backyard. I’ve found that a change of scenery clears my head and enables me to return to work refreshed.”
