Everyone wants to be a success from day one. However, no one is perfect; we all make mistakes from time to time, and we all fail. The key, as Monica explains, is to learn and grow from one’s failures. “Failure isn’t easy to accept,” she says. “If you’re not prepared for it, failure can lead you to doubt whether you’ll ever be able to pick yourself back up again. However, I’m here to say that failure is not the end of the road. In fact, it’s an important part of your growth as a leader.”
Monica suggests that you need to stay positive, fight through fear, and avoid dwelling on your mistakes. Most importantly, though, you need to have enough humility to accept responsibility for failure and be willing to learn.
“Some of the greatest lessons I’ve ever learned in life have been through failure. If I had just given up and wasted time feeling sorry for myself, I would have missed out on wonderful opportunities.”
