Firstly, Monica wants every entrepreneur and business leader to recognize that there is no “tried and true” path to success. Trial and error is a natural part of any business. That’s why “purpose-driven businesses” tend to prevail.
“Running a business isn’t something you can do without passion and purpose. When we started out, our purpose was to ensure that businesses dedicated to helping others weren’t hindered by unmanageable and overwhelming transaction disputes, including chargebacks,” Monica explained.
But passion alone won’t drive you to success. There are many variables to consider along the way, and what works for one business may not work for you.
“Every business model is different. As a leader, you need to be knowledgeable about your own challenges and opportunities to formulate a profit plan that fits your business best,” Monica went on. “While the ideal scenario is to self-finance and grow the company as you see fit, there are times when opening your business’s doors to new capital and new opportunities may accelerate growth.”
