Businesses in the lodging category offer rooms for business meetings, temporary accommodation services, and meals to travelers. This means that common merchants include holiday and hospitality inns, motels, and resorts.
Like with airlines, merchants in this vertical are assigned unique MCCs, rather than MCCs being assigned to a group of similar businesses. Examples of specific MCCs in this range include:
