An online seller account is an eCommerce account that merchants create to sell goods or services. Merchants can use online seller accounts to list products, upload images, add descriptions, and share costs and availability. Online seller accounts can be integrated with payment gateways like Paypal or Stripe that accept credit cards or digital wallet payments.

These accounts are easy to set up, offer merchants access to a wide customer base, and have enhanced security to ensure to protect customer data. Cons include competition from other online sellers, and high payment processing, order fulfillment, and return fees.

Marketplaces like Amazon and eBay, social media marketplaces like Instagram and Facebook, and eCommerce platforms like Shopify all offer online seller accounts.
