The relative risk of fraud and chargeback varies within this MCC range more than any other. Overall risk tends to be much more specific to the individual category code. For instance, alcoholic beverage wholesalers (MCC code 5715) are considered high-risk products, but dry cleaners (MCC code 7216) are not.
