Monica Eaton Interviewed During Money 20/20 Europe
Chargebacks911® COO Monica Eaton took a few minutes at Money 20/20 Europe in Amsterdam back in June to speak with interviewers from Fintech Finance. In the interview, they covered the background of Chargebacks911, and talked about new and developing industry challenges.
Fintech Finance covers a broad range of topics within financial services, from branches to blockchain. The outlet provides coverage on hot news in the industry, as well as analysis and thought leadership from some of the biggest names in payments and finance.
Over the course of the interview, Monica delved into what Chargebacks911 does and why the company is so vital to the industry. The bulk of the interview, though, focused on PSD2 readiness; specifically, what businesses should do about it.
“There are always battles between managing risk and auth rates—or conversion rates—for merchants,” Monica notes. The PSD2 legislation will complicate that balance by introducing Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) standards to the European market. Some experts believe this could cause a sharp spike in declines, as well as cart abandonment.
“When we look at SCA, we’re adding additional methods of authentication, verification…but the fact is that these aren’t tested enough in enterprise environments, especially on a global scale.”
