Samsung Pay

Samsung Pay is an Android app that allows certain Samsung devices to communicate with in-store payment terminals. The app uses Near Field Communication (NFC) to enable users to make credit, debit, or other card-based transactions without the need for physical cards.

Like other digital payment apps, Samsung Pay contactless payments are highly secure.  Actual credit card numbers aren’t stored on the phone; readers can only access virtual numbers assigned to the user. While most services offer data encryption and built-in authentication, Samsung Pay adds an extra layer of protection with Samsung Knox, a proprietary security and management framework pre-installed on most Samsung mobile devices.

Primarily designed for use with physical card readers, Samsung Pay is also available for some in-app and web payments.
