Monica Eaton of Chargebacks911 was recently invited by host Mary Burt-Godwin to appear as a special guest on the hot business streaming series America Trends.
America Trends is an hour-long nightly show that takes a deep dive into issues that affect business owners and investors. America Trends shows what both the conservative and liberal media have to say about the days’ trending topics, unpacking different views with the goal to uncover the truth behind the headlines and how business leaders and investors can prepare for the future.
During the segment, Monica talked about her experiences launching her business. She explains that she initially started out as a merchant in 2008, aiming to compete with eBay.
“I thought ‘how hard could it be to build this marketplace online?’ The internet was really starting to get popular,” she says. “So, I had this online website, and I failed my way to success with that. You know, definitely lots of expensive learning with the dynamic way the internet works.” However, as Monica goes on to explain, it didn’t take long before chargebacks started to put Monica’s successful business in jeopardy.
“I didn't know what it was, but in trying to resolve that — it's one of those amazing stories — Chargebacks911 was born out of necessity, because I had to solve my own problem. Low and behold, I realized that a lot of other merchants just like me had the same problem. And I created this initially as a consulting deal. I thought that what I wanted, as an online business, I just wanted to dial ‘911’ and be rescued from chargeback hell! And one thing has grown to the next.”
