Chargebacks911® COO & Fintech Diversity Radar Board Member Shares Her Experiences
Chargebacks911 COO Monica Eaton is a passionate advocate of diversity in finance and technology professions. As a member of the newly-created Fintech Diversity Radar Advisory Board, our friends at Findexable asked Monica to share some of her thoughts in a recently-published interview.
Findexable provides and maintains a real-time ranking of all global cities that play host to the fintech community. The Global Fintech Index is their proprietary global database of fintech firms, offering a platform to help companies improve their visibility and connect with investors and institutions.
As a member of the Fintech Diversity Radar Advisory Board, Monica is playing a key role to help advocate for greater diversity in fintech. This will make for a fairer, more balanced payments ecosystem, as well as a stronger and more resilient one.
“Not only is fostering diversity the right thing to do – it’s also a business imperative in the technology space,” Monica explains. “In order to build a tool that works, everyone who uses it needs to be represented with a seat at the table. I strongly believe that by having a diverse team, we are making better products built with all of our customers in mind.”
Monica has already found tremendous success as a female professional in the fintech space. However, in order for the industry to keep growing and evolving, leaders need to make diversity a priority. Otherwise, homogenous and less-dynamic thinking could easily start to dominate over time.
