Organization Volunteers to Help Make This Wonderful Event a Reality
Our Chargebacks911 representatives joined thousands of other volunteers and cheering spectators on March 24 for the Hillsborough County Special Olympics in Tampa. Congratulations to all the participating athletes, and our special thanks to all our fellow businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations that helped make this event an incredible success!
More than 600 athletes from around the Tampa Bay area competed in track and field and cycling events after an opening ceremony presided over by Tampa Bay Rays broadcaster Orestes Destrade. The highest-ranking athletes at these local games advanced to the Special Olympics Florida State Games, taking place May 18-19 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Disney World.
The Special Olympics Florida have been empowering and educating individuals with special needs since 1972.
Our team members were thrilled to help make the 2018 qualifying event a reality. They worked hands-on with participating athletes, primarily children and young adults, to help develop their skills and their confidence.
Congrats again to all participating athletes, and another big round of applause to those selected for the statewide event in May! This was truly a great experience…we’re already looking forward to next year’s event!
