What Makes Entrepreneurs Happy? Monica Eaton Offers Her Thoughts
Monica Eaton, Co-Founder and COO of Chargebacks911®, was asked to contribute her thoughts about entrepreneurship as part of a new feature for the Select Date Society Blog.
Select Date Society is an online matchmaking community revolving around entrepreneurs and business professionals. They contribute content relevant to merchants and professionals in a wide array of financial spheres.
More than 20 business owners and executives were asked what they loved most about their jobs. Those polled cited freedom and creativity as the core reasons they loved being entrepreneurs, but the majority lauded the ability to solve problems, work with talented people, and share their expertise with others.
“The payments industry is constantly evolving and presenting new problems, and I love getting the opportunity to solve those problems,” Monica said. “I love to learn and be challenged by my peers. I often find myself fueled by brainstorming sessions and finding innovative ways to tackle fraud. There’s never a dull moment in entrepreneurship's fast-paced and ever-changing environment.”
As in previous interviews on the topic of entrepreneurship, Monica encouraged individuals to seek careers that speak to their passions. She urges readers to consider if “It would be unimaginable not to daydream about how to make it even better constantly! It’s who you are, and your career is a labor of love. In my own experience, innovation is an emergent property of passion. One begets the other.”
