How should small business owners continue motiving employees? Chargebacks911 COO Monica Eaton appeared in a recent feature for the MyCorporation blog discussing this question. She and seven other successful small business owners weighed in to provide their advice as to how management can best motivate and inspire their teams.
MyCorporation is a leading provider of online document filing services for clients who wish to form a corporation or limited liability company. For more than twenty years, they’ve helped small business clients and real estate investors incorporate their businesses in a reliable and affordable manner.
Monica responded that communication is the key to a healthy and proactive work environment. “Open communication and a healthy work/life balance are important factors. They help us motivate hybrid teams and contribute to overall positive company culture,” she said. “We utilize communication tools like Slack and Skype for our teams. This allows us to share the type of water cooler conversations that are often missed in remote work settings. We’ve found that this helps unite everyone and provides a sense of camaraderie.”
She went on to explain that the average workday shouldn’t be where that communicative effort stops. “We’re firm believers in providing opportunities for our teams to gather outside of working hours for fun and relaxation. Among various activities, we love playing laser tag, going to baseball games, and having outdoor picnics.”
