Monica Eaton Featured in ‘Tech Trends’ Segment on eCommerce
In a new feature for ABC News, Chargebacks911 COO Monica Eaton explains that, despite more people shopping online, merchants and consumers will still face new challenges due to coronavirus.
ABC News is one of the leading news outlets in the US. The network attracts millions of viewers and listeners each day across the country looking for information on current events, politics, analysis, and much more.
With people trapped at home due to the coronavirus, more and more of us are doing our shopping online. While more business sounds great for online sellers, it can lead to problems. For instance, delays on nonessential items could expand into weeks or even months.
“For any nonessential items, you’re going to face one to two months [in delays],” Monica says. The key to keeping track of these items is tracking; customers must use tracking to ensure that their goods are still en route and haven’t been lost.
Tracking is especially vital for international transactions. With some entire nations or regions under quarantine, this is where buyers could see wait times stretch beyond the one-month point. It’s also hard to project estimates with so much uncertainty. As Monica explains, “If you’re dealing with any international orders, I think you’re going to need more custom exams and projections.”
