Monica Eaton-Cardone Calls Chargebacks a "Problem That Can't be Ignored"

When asked what the next twelve months might look like in the chargebacks game, Eaton-Cardone intimated that Covid had been a catalyst for change. The past year brought a marked spike in chargebacks due to escalating consumer migration toward eCommerce as a primary purchasing source.
“When it comes to chargebacks, this really isn’t a problem that can be ignored,” she says, alluding to the growing chargeback issue as having a bit of a flywheel effect. “Today’s merchant needs to be proactive, they need to have data, they need to use technology, and by all means cannot ignore the statistics that chargebacks can quickly spiral out of control”.
Monica goes on to describe Chargebacks911’s main focus for 2022 as a matter of ‘scale’. ‘The more friction that is taken out of the chargeback process, the more chargebacks we’re getting as a result, and the faster they need to be resolved.”
