Monica Eaton on Philanthropy in Business

Monica Eaton, Co-Founder and COO of Chargebacks911®, recently contributed her thoughts about philanthropy from an executive’s perspective in a feature for Enterprise League.

With a stated mission to empower small & medium companies, Enterprise League is a technology company that builds an online B2B infrastructure. Small and medium businesses use their software to find new business deals and partnerships. Their published content promotes efficiency, ethics, and enhanced technology.

The article makes a remarkable point about philanthropy as a practical duty. As stated, business owners and employees make a living by keeping the business profitable, but it is only when businesses give back to the community that they make their work truly meaningful. By making other people’s lives better they get more than any bank account can hold.

Monica agreed with the sentiment, expanding on the causes in which Chargebacks911 takes pride. “We started a ‘Take Charge for Charity’ program where a weekly donation is given to a local charity chosen by staff members,” she explains. “These organizations represent the best of our community, those who have dedicated their lives to feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, and supporting the vulnerable.

“We wanted to do our part to give back to those most in need, and these donations seemed like the perfect way to do just that,” Monica continued. “We’ve now reached our 120th consecutive week of donations!”
