During their hour-long conversation, each expert took time to discuss the current coronavirus situation, and how business can stay afloat through the worst of it.
Chargeback abuse is nothing new. However, it’s taken on a new dimension at a time when more consumers than ever are buying online. “What we’re seeing is a pretty damaging trend, where consumers file a chargeback…and opportunistic consumers are using this to put cash back in their bank,” Monica explains.
“Unfortunately it creates a significant amount of stress, not just for the merchant, but also specifically for financial institutions. Many financial institutions today, it’s no secret, that they’re suffering massive backlogs of all the follow up they need to do.”
